Give Your Mother a Break Already

DO NOT send your 80 year old walker pushing mother to deal with any government agency. If your mother is that old and that shaky, then you are an adult. Shame on you for making her or your father for that matter to stand in line to do your business. You should be able to obtain your own birth certificate, pay your own water bill, or complain to your elected official without putting your mobility challenged parental unit unnecessarily behind the wheel of a car. You can conduct most government business (not obtain a marriage license, hence “most”) by mail or the “interwebs” these days. Help a postal worker keep her job for goodness sake. Pay your taxes in your tidy whities. But do it your own damn self!
